Bridge Accessible Transport “Providing transport connections for people in the community”
Bridge Accessible Transport was launched in May 1996 with a fleet of five fully accessible buses as a result of core grant aid from the Department of the Environment - Transport Division, Foyle Trust, National Lottery Board and the local District Partnership Board.
Bridge Accessible Transport is a registered charity and a non-profit organisation and is managed by a voluntary Board of Directors.
"We provide an affordable and accessible transport service for people who have mobility difficulties and have difficulty using other forms of transport"
"We operate in the Derry City area transporting people to and from their homes, places of work, local colleges, university, shopping centres and to keep medical and health appointments. You will be given assistance from your home to the bus and from the bus to your destination"
"We are a membership only organisation and currently have over 4,000 registered members and approximately 200 registered groups"
We extended our community transport services to include a city centre Shopmobility Foyle service, a mobility equipment hire service to support people to get around the city, to shop, meet friends and vist local attractions.
